Hunting & Fishing is a New Zealand franchise, first established in 1986. Today, they’re widely regarded as one of New Zealand's leading authorities for hunting, fishing, camping, and tramping information and equipment. Our relationship with Hunting & Fishing dates back to 2010, when they were looking for a high-profile, large format premise that would act as a standalone shopping destination. The property is situated on the corner of Clarence Street and Whiteleigh Avenue and enjoys a good degree of visibility on the significant transport route between the northern and southern suburbs of the city. The building is a modern structure, housing four bulk retail tenancies, with the premises providing a mix of retail space, associated office and amenities.
Looking to expand further in 2017, we negotiated for Hunting & Fishing to take on the lease of a neighbouring property, doubling their current site commitment. This created significant efficiencies for the business, removing relocation costs and down time. We worked closely to provide the structural link between the two buildings and now it is the largest standalone precinct for specialist outdoor retailers in the South Island, and a destination store for Hunting & Fishing customers.
